I would caution the author against using the word "confirmed" to define the findings of Seth Stephens-Davidowitz's findings. The results of this study presented a correlation that can assist in establishing the foundation for another hypothesis. That is why Stephens-Davidowitz's used terms like "most likely." Anyway...I find that my biggest concern is that the greater community does is not really conscious about how the political process and government works. I find many people complaining that Obama has done nothing for them, but then I ask about the interaction they have had with their local officials or if they understand the details of the process regarding getting a bill passed (which need to be reformed for sure) and they are clueless. Many buy into the political rhetoric while being ill-informed. If Obamacare is repealed (and I can agree that their are some things that need to be addressed about Obamacare), then I won't be able to get insurance because of a pre-existing condition. I am currently leaving my job in now and am applying for an individual policy....if that tidbit of legislation was not law, I would be out of luck and a lot more out of pocket. Truly knowledge is power and those who know should share.
