You know, I don’t like how this piece is couched in political rhetoric. There are liberal and conservative women alike that have beef with strip clubs. Please believe that Laura Bush and Michelle Obama would probably react the same way if their husbands suggested a trip to the booty bar on date night.

This piece would’ve gone over a lot better if the author had said, “Hey, I went to the strip club with my man. I liked it, and here’s why,” and then left it at that. I could get behind that. Instead, she’s suggesting that women that aren’t down are uptight, and that if you really wanna prove your liberal bonafides, ladies, you’ll overlook all that problematic ish about that you may have with the strip club and take one for men’s team. Oh, and you’ll be glad you did.

Way to go, Risa! Now you get the dubious honor of being that chick on Clutch that wrote that wackadoodle piece about spicing up your love life by riding shot gun with your man to the player’s club . . . (to watch dem gurlz shake somethin’. We be clubbin’) LOL

1. i see comments saying stuff like the dehumanization of women – if women want to strip, they want to strip. feminism is the choice to be whatever woman you want to be and these women want to take of their clothes for money. that’s not dehumanization, that’s free will.

2. i’m not anti/for the idea but i can see both sides. it can be a lot of fun because strippers ARE very athletic and talented likewise if you’re the jealous type, then watching your man ogle other women will infuriate you. just do what makes you happy.

I have always liked the idea of going to female strip clubs. And always imagined going with my significant other or just hanging out with my friends. It seems like a great atmosphere. Also a great place to meet men. Some of these women probably have never even stepped foot in a strip club. The way those women work a pole is mezmerizing. I agree with you though male strippers are creepy just like male porn stars.

I’ve always wanted to have a man that’s open minded enough to go with me to the strip club. I honestly think it’s a great date idea. I think it’s good to know the person you’re with & the things they do. Why not go have fun with him at the strip club? That way, you also get to see what happens when he’s “out with the boys” you could also take some notes & learn a thing or two.

I wouldn’t go to a male strip club though. Male strippers creep me out.

Im not into degrading women and I dang sure know my man is not either (he couldn’t be my man if he was). People have truly lost perspective on what it means to objectify women. There she is busting it wide open for you and your man and what do you do? put money in her cooch…that’s disgusting and definitely not something I want to do with anyone let alone my man. I am very open minded however when it comes to objectifying women and participating in the very obvious degradation….that’s where I put my foot down. I don’t knock anyone else’s “open mind” and I say “do you boo boo” but for me and my house….we are just in the mindset that there is nothing cute or exciting about watching naked women dancing in seedy nightclubs.

Wow. We’re supposed to go to strip clubs, learn about sports and watch with him, be awesome in the kitchen, and do what the porn stars do in the bedroom. You know catering to your man. How many men are willing to do something girly? All I ever hear nowadays is that women need to be more open minded about their men and sex. Women’s magazines are full of this kind of advice. Are men’s magazines telling them to be more open minded? I mean most men complain about having to watch chick flicks.

I for one just don’t want the man in my life going to a strip club. Is that too much to ask? He could have his magazines or watch porn (hidden away please), but a real woman only feet away is a bit much for me. Putting a pole up in the bedroom and learning some moves is completely different from going to a strip club. At least he would be looking at me.

Thank you we as women have to set the tone of respectiabilty and good lord have some semblence of standards. Nobody ever puts put what men have to do to spice up things at home if they do it never requires them to leave the self esteem at the door. You want to spice things up, suggest going to a MALE strip club.

Since the ladies are supposed to open-minded about these things, then there’s no reason the guys shouldn’t reciprocate. I’ll tell him “Just know that you can’t go with an uptight attitude. it’s funny, me and my boyfriend had the perfect date night at the strip club before we were even involved. my best friend, boyfriend and I went strip club hoping one night; we were bored, and after that night me and my now boyfriend started talking. He behaved like such a gentlemen the entire night at a strip clubs it’s no wonder he’s a gentlemen everyday; since day one my baby opens my car door :) and puts me first. (Blessed)
