Should Cosmetics Companies Target Multiethnic Consumers Instead of “Black or White”?

  1. Black, White, Multi-ethnic, whatever, as long as the market is diversified and not saturated with one image, I don’t care. But what I see happening is the use of “Ok Black” models, which is Black with a little something else. No, short nappy headed dark chicks allowed.

  2. I believe Carol’s Daughter created a firestorm regarding her new campaign adding multi-cultural women because there were no 100% black women in the campaign. All of the women in her campaign were of mixed descent. Black women are becoming invisible in marketing campaigns. Instead, companies are using multi-cultural women to represent black women.
