Rapper/Designer Duo We Love: Azealia Banks and Alexander Wang
She may not be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to rap, but Azealia Banks has become quite the emcee du jour in the fashion industry. Her dip-dyed hair, toned frame, and funky, liberated sense of style has caught the eye of various fashion figures, including Lady Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti, who styled Banks’ “Liquorice” video.
Notably, Banks and designer Alexander Wang have emerged as a rapper/designer duo of sorts. Banks was invited to the 2012 Met Gala by Wang, who dressed her in a sleeveless black leather dress with a crisscross neckline and cut-outs at the waist, accented by the designer’s ankle-strap heels.
More recently, Wang tapped Banks to star in the campaign video for his T by Alexander Wang Fall 2012 collection. The video solely features Banks in gorgeous black-and-white shots that show her dancing, rapping, and smiling from ear to ear to her track “Van Vogue,” while wearing one of the collection’s dresses:
Wang said he chose Banks for his video because “she exudes a certain rawness that makes her a very unique talent. I loved working with her on this video for T Fall 2012, and think the collaboration captures a collision of energies.”

she is looking STUNNING!
