I think it’s because the fashion world really likes dance music. And she’s really a dance artist that raps versus a rapper a la Nicki Minaj. And once Karl Lagerfeld had her perform at his house, well, the rest is history. When Karl Lagerfeld co-signs someone, they’re bound to get attention.
