Negativity surrounds us. Negative news coverage, negative images of those who look like us, and negative people. It can certainly drain us of our ability to think positively. But don’t let it. Above all else, our attitude determines how we think and feel about the world.
Consider this. If you walk around expecting the worst from the world and those around you, don’t be surprised when you find it. Conversely, if you go into each situation expecting to find some sliver of goodness, you’ll probably find that, too.
Life is too short to spend it angry and jaded and expecting the disappointment. Instead, choose to believe in the goodness of yourself and others, and you just might be surprised at what you discover.
