It is polygamy. My question is, why is polygamy a bad thing? Historically marriage has always been a primarily economic institution. Only very recently, and mostly in the west, is is a love-only institution.
Financially, provided they are all working, this family has a much better chance of avoiding/escaping poverty than single people. It’s a very smart move on their part.
I second that. Why is polygamy necessarily a bad thing? I think people are just brainwashed by what, for the most part, is western convention. I would argue that legalized polygamous alliances may actually alleviate some of black America’s ills.
As long as it’s not some crazy polygamist scheme where there’s child abuse and welfare fraud, I don’t care.
