For those of you that wear makeup, bring those wipes or cleanser to wash your face right after a workout. In fact, I always wash my face after a workout, because the sweat and salt on your skin can lead to dry patches or pimples if you aren’t careful (depends on whether your skin is oily or dry). Everyone should wash their face after a workout.
I usually workout right after work which means my face is already done when I get into the gym. Yes, when I sweat some of it comes off when I wipe with a towel, but I am not going to go home wash my “face” off to go to the gym to work out. I believe that I can look somewhat decent when working out! Do I have to look like I rolled my butt out of bed to prove to the world that I’m serious about exercise? On the weekends, if I decide to get a workout in while I’m home or if I head out the the park again, from home – - no makeup, just some chapstick.
You will never see me outside of my house without makeup… and most likely you will not even know that I have on makeup. I use sheer Bare Minerals powder to cover dark undereyes and scars from eczema breakouts. That doesn’t have anything to do with LaLa and Kelly Rowland……
I always wear makeup to the gym and I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Sometimes (GASP!) I don’t pull my hair back either. I’m not looking for a date while I’m at the gym and I can even manage a good workout with makeup on. Maybe I’m a little high maintenance, but so what!
