There’s definitely a disconnect in the research if they’re saying nearly twice as many seniors are obese now compared to 20 years ago, yet they’re projecting the senior population will almost double in the next 15-20 years. Maybe they’re expecting great strides in geriatric medicine that will more than offset the limitations of obesity. That’s positive, right?
Or maybe they’re expecting a lot fewer of the 40-50 year olds today to pass away in the next 15-20 years, so their population will greatly offset the obese 65+ population that don’t make it. Still positive, right?
