Because it seems so cliche to say, I’m going to leave Harry Potter off my list, but a lot of my other favorites were there. Sarah Dessen books are great beach reads, I read some of them every summer. I also love the Gemma Doyle Rebel Angels series by Libba Bray, I don’t think they are ever going to get this movie made though someone always has the rights to it. I would have loved to see When Kambia Elaine Flew in From Neptune, by Lori Aurelia Williams on the list too though.
Anything by Sharon G. Flake, Sharon M. Draper and Dana Davidson… Go Ask Alice was a favorite, Monster was great, too… I also liked the Gossip Girl books.

I recommend the Gone series by Michael Grant!
