Meh. I would’ve rather seen Nervous on the big screen but I’ll still check it out…maybe. The chemistry between Nia Long, who I’m guessing is playing Zoe, and Tasha Smith as the therapist will be interesting. When the previews for it start rolling in, I’ll make a final decision.
If done correctly with the right team of writers, producers and director, this could actually be really good. If “Push” (which I’ve always thought of as a poor man’s “Bluest Eye”) could make it off the street lit tables to the big screen and actually win nominations and awards this can do so as well…. IF DONE CORRECTLY.
I was 17 when I read this (12 years ago). This was before Zane was the renowned author she is today. I’m not a fan of hers but this book was awesome!!! Yep, I’ll probably watch it.
