Three Nail Colors We’re Feeling For Fall

The temperature is dropping, layers are coming out and days are getting shorter. It’s a dawn of a new season, in which the poppy neon nail hues of Spring are replaced by darker colors for Fall.

Fall’s hues are rich, dramatic, moody and sensual. They are a fitting homage to the auburn, brown and burnt orange leave colors that characterize this time of year. They’re also a perfect complement to this season’s cold-weather trends like velvet, leather, burgundy and military wear.

Here are only three hues we can’t wait to try this season:

1. Gray

Gray is such an understated yet beautiful color and really picks up on Fall’s ladylike charm in a subtle way.

2. Burgundy

By far my favorite of the three, burgundy nails echo the sexy deep red lip trend. It is the edgy, dark yet just as sexy answer to the ubiquitous bright red nail.

3. Metallic

Glitter was everywhere this Summer, but metallic replaces it as a cold-weather and holiday-friendly way to shine.

  1. I loved the gray on the first lady’s nails. Funny enough the only reason I happened to notice it is because I had my nails painted gray at that time and was excited because we had the same tastes lol. I found mine at Rite Aid earlier this year; it’s by N.Y.C and the color is called Sidewalkers.

Also for fall, I tend to wear more purple and burgundy. My favorites are “Lincoln Park at Midnight,” “Bastille My Heart,” and “Pamplona Purple” all by OPI (…don’t you just love their nail polish names lol)
