Kerry Washington, Kelly Rowland and Nicki Minaj Rock The Red Carpet at the 2012 AMAs

The 2012 American Music Awards took place last night and though the performances were the main attraction, we were just as excited about the fashion on the red carpet. Since this awards show is less formal than most, looks can run the gamut from high fashion and formal to edgy and dressed down. This year’s turnout yielded a sampling of both.

A few celebrities went for fashion statements that were out-of-the-box (like Brandy’s daring dress) while others went for a winning formula that works everytime (shout out to Kelly). Even the guys stepped it up this year, atleast in terms of footwear.
