“There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us to learn from.” – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Last night I posted a status on Facebook that said, “Note to self: Open your hands so you can receive your blessings.”

Despite things going pretty well in my life, I get into these moments where I worry about everything. I stress about saving money, I wonder if I’m making the right choices for my son, and I worry that I’m spending too much time focused on working and not enough on cultivating my personal life. I worry about it all.

In the midst of overthinking everything, I sometimes forget to just relax and receiving my blessing, the things God and the Universe have in store for my life.

But I get it; it’s hard to let go. We want to control everything: we get attached to our money and the people in our lives, and we want things to happen on our prescribed timeline. Unfortunately, life usually has other ideas.  It takes its time, the people we thought would be there for us bail out, and sometimes it seems like money is allergic to our pocketbooks.

In those moments it’s easy to get down on ourselves, easy to worry about everything, and easy to feel like our blessings will never come.

But it will.

If you truly believe that your life is blessed and that you are surrounded by goodness, then the blessings will flow. You will attract everything you need in your life because you are already certain that you are worthy of it (Let Aunt Oprah tell it).

While it’s easy to get discouraged with the slow pace of change and life’s many twists and turns, as long as you hold onto the belief that you’re worthy, you’ll be just fine in the end.

Let your blessings flow, Clutchettes.

Happy Monday!

You see some of these negative attitudes? That’s why you’re so damn unlucky. If someone believes in God, let them. Damn. Your attitude determines your altitude. So chill out, negative Nancys
