Looks like Beyoncé is officially on a mission to try to reclaim her throne in 2013.

Along with snagging the coveted Super Bowl halftime slot, Bey is working on another album set to drop early next year. Additionally, her self-directed documentary giving fans a glimpse into her personal life premieres on HBO in Feburary, and if that wasn’t enough, the New York Daily News is reporting that the pop diva just wrapped a shoot with legendary photog Annie Leibovitz for Vogue.

The NY Daily News writes:

Confidenti@l has learned that Beyoncé will grace the March cover of Vogue. According to our sources, famed photog Annie Leibovitz did the shoot last week. It’s going to be quite a 2013 for Bey. In addition to performing for Super Bowl XLVII’s halftime show in early February, she plans to release a new album, which features collaborations with The-Dream, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and her hubby, Jay-Z.

If Beyoncé does indeed cover Vogue it will be her second time gracing the front of the venerable glossy (the first go ‘round was a bit rocky, though), and it will perfectly coincide with her Super Bowl halftime show and the release of her documentary.

So, get ready for the Beyoncé publicity blitz in 5…4…3…2….

I’m all for Beyonce, and Rhianna. But can we have the next generation of black performers on the cover? Kerry Washington or the sister from Walking Dead.

Why is this news? Beyonce and Rhianna are the only black entertainers who ever get covers on things like Vogue so what else is new. They like to act like no one else is worthy with is BS.
