I was never interested in joining a sorority because the members all seemed like Mean Girls to me. And the frat guys always came off as jerks. So none of this impresses me. *shrugs*

Love my Rhoyal Blue and Gold Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. Much love to all BGLO members. EE-YIP!

  • DJ

Why only focus on 2 organizations when more than 2 celebrated Founders’ Day this week?

  • CuriousZeta

Just curious as to how famous members of ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY, INC. were mentioned, but ZETA was not mentioned as one of the sororities celebrating founders’ day. Founded January 16, 1920. That makes 93 years to be exact!

  • Tee

While I have love for all of my fellow Greek Sisters, AKA and DST are not the only two historical African-American Sororities. There is Zeta Phi Beta whom celebrated their 93rd Founders Day on January 16th (one day after Alpha Kappa Alpha). There is also Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., whom celebrated their 90th Founders Day back on November 12th, 2012.

  • C Kinder

If you can’t mention EVERYONE then don’t mention ANYONE! Make generalized comments.

  • Kate

I wholeheartedly concur with my Sorors. Please be consistent in your coverage. Recognize that there are FOUR Black Greek Letter Sororities, THREE of whom celebrated Founders’ Days this week. Z-Phi my Sorors!

  • Nette

    Ee-Yip Soror :)

  • CHRISTOPHER

you guys was also founded by the freemasons and eastern stars.. which is full of wickness maybe not you personally but the divine nine is demonic. in so many ways . if you dont know read ur book that was given to wen u crossed carefully bcus my father is a kappa nd i got a hold of his book then i start doing my research from there and theres some hiddin keywords that departed me to becoming a member put it like this im a christian and they dont mix its impossible trust me i kno everything to know about the divine nine like i stated my father is a nupe.IF YOU ARE A CHIRSTIAN OR MUSLIM DONT NOT BECOME A MEMBER W/O DOING YOUR RESEARCH…

  • John

I found the article re: “Black and Greek Stars” to be very biased and lop-sided as usual. Certainly, there are numerous other well known members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated that could have been noted just as was done for Alpha, Kappa and Omega; keeping all 9 organizations in balance of celebrity members listed would have presented a more respectful overview rather than the obvious skew and disrespect. Not appreciated at all.

You can please some people SOME of the time…
