Let’s be honest: New Year’s resolutions aren’t the easiest to keep. And it shouldn’t take a new year to implement changes that will better your style portfolio.

But January 1st is as good a time as any to experiment with the trend you always wanted to try, revamp your beauty regimen and focus on your hair’s health.

Here are 5 beauty resolutions worth adopting this year:

1. Experiment with a bold color on your eyes or lips.

Many women are intimated by bright makeup but a pop of color can punctuate your look and take your outfit to the next level. Why not give it a try keeping these tips in mind?

2. Don’t forget skincare.

Though some of us are blessed with great skin through genetics, it’s important to invest in a good skincare routine. Practices like washing off makeup before you go to bed and cleaning, toning and moisturizing regularly will help your skin stay at its best and pay off in the long run.

3. Give your feet some TLC.

It’s easy to neglect your feet especially during the winter time! Be sure to carve out some time to soak, scrub and moisturize your toes this season.

trim

4. Pay more attention to your hair’s health.

Make a commitment to stop sacrificing your hair’s health for style. Try to use less heat and embrace styles that don’t require it. Get regular trims, wrap your hair at night (or use a satin pillow) and look for products with natural ingredients that hydrate and strengthen your strands.

5. Be pretty from the inside out.

When you’re not healthy on the inside, it shows in your appearance. Drink plenty of water, incorporate vegetables into your diet, exercise regularly, take vitamins and make time to get sleep for a healthier and prettier you.
