Toni, Tamar, Trina, Traci and Towanda are on their way back for a new season of their hit reality show. Braxton Family Values is set to return on March 14 with more laughs, music, tears and Tamar temper tantrums.
The singing sisters are known for being candid and teaching us a thing or two about their perspectives on life and love.
Before we fasten our seat belts for season 3, lets take a look back at 5 of our favorite moments from past episodes.
1. The time Mama Braxton tells her ex-husband how she really feels.
When Evelyn ran into Daddy Braxton at a family get together she let a few things off her chest. “There’s no honor among thieves, ‘cause you know that you lay it low and spread it wide. You don’t care who it is,” she say to her former husband of nearly 35 years. He replied, “I don’t know anything about that.” Then she said, “You a liar. You’re going to hell for everything.”
2. The time Trina confessed to an ‘oral transaction” with her band mate.
Talk about reality TV. Clearly, nothing is off limits with the girls, including admitting on national television that you’ve cheated on your husband with a band mate. Although Trina and her husband Gabe have their on-going problems, it takes a bold person to discuss their extra-martial activities, with no remorse, in front of the camera.
3. The time Evelyn told Tamar “I will slap the piss out of you.”
In the second season premiere, Evelyn reaches her boiling point with her youngest daughter, Tamar. She demands respects and says, “You will not disrespect me. And next time you do it, I’m gonna slap the piss out of you. Try me.” Tamar was speechless.
4. The time Tamar sings a hilarious song about Toni’s ex-husband.
When Toni moved into a new house in Los Angeles, she was just minutes aways from her younger sister. Tamar came to her house unexpected one day and saw Toni’s ex-hubby leaving in the driveway. Tamar then took to the piano to sing a self-written song called, “I saw yo baby daddy, leaving in the caddy!”
5. The times the family stood by each other’s side.
There’s nothing like the love of family and the Braxton prove this each episode, every season. When Toni had surgery due to complications from her Lupas disease, the full family was by her side. And when Tamar’s husband Vince was hospitalized for blood clots in his lungs, the Braxton sisters cried, prayed and stayed together.
