New York Fashion Week officially starts today (though a few shows and parties have already taken place) and we’re excited for what is considered the most important week in the fashion industry. From Lincoln Center in midtown to Milk Studios in downtown Manhattan, the city is buzzing with energy and excitement as designers present and celebrate their latest work. Though people of color are consistently underrepresented during New York Fashion Week, there are a few shows lined up that honor the unique talent of African-American artists behind-the-scenes and front stage.
