You want to talk about bad first dates? Nimeha Milien’s story will probably top any horrible date story you can come up with. 21-year-old Nimeha Milien said her romantic evening with Donald McGee, 19, quickly took a turn for the worst when he pulled out a .380-caliber Kel Tec handgun.
“I’m glad that I’m alive to be able to see my 21st birthday because I want to be able to make a difference in this world,” Milien said. “If I had died on that night, I wouldn’t have done anything.”
Milien agreed to go on a date with McGee, and even though she’d never met him before, she picked him up in Palm Beach County. First date advice, that’s definitely a no-no. Alway try to meet up at a mutual location. McGee reportedly asked if they could go to Milien’s home, but to pull a Jill Scott and took a long walk around the park, after dark.
Following a “normal” time, she dropped him off at a Wendy’s on Boynton Beach Blvd. so his brother could pick him up. But, upon stopping the car, McGee allegedly took out a .380-caliber Kel Tec handgun and ordered her out — jumping into the driver’s seat and speeding away. Milien ran to a gas station, where a customer said he’d chase McGee as she called 911. Cops caught up with McGee on I-95 and trailed him for eight miles — catching him when he got the vehicle stuck in dirt and grass on a ramp.
He was arrested and charged with armed carjacking, robbery with a firearm, possession of marijuana, driving without a license and fleeing police.
Worst. Date. Ever.
