Fantasia Barrino announced that she was changing her look when she came into conflict with Jet Magazine but her new aesthetic goes way beyond photo shoots. The “Without Me” singer has shown up for red carpet appearances in a look that’s more fashion-forward than what we’ve seen from her in the past.

Styled by Shun Melson, who has worked with Kandi Burruss and Ledisi, the 2004 “American Idol” winner looks sophisticated in sleek silhouettes, standout colors like red and white and classic accessories. For her new minimalist approach to style, Fantasia’s rocked designers like Alexander McQueen, Emilio Pucci, Brian Atwood and Christian Louboutin. But the look is less about labels and more about Fantasia’s natural beauty, stunning shape and confidence shining through.

She looks amazing. Her clothing selection is outstanding, very chic and classy. Whatever she is doing I am so happy for her and I hope she continues going forward with it. The girl can sing point blank. I would love to see her go full gospel soon and do some preaching along side of it.

Shame on Jet magazine for missing an opportunity to be 1st in showing Fantasia’s new look, this only proves that the magazine is out of date and no longer bringing the updated news to Black America. Somewhere alone the lines they have lost their purpose, thank goodness other Black magazines are taking up the slack. The editor in chief played right into the hands of “black on black” racism…opening the doors for others to mock us!
