White pumps are a fashion sensation this season, showing up on runways, at retail stores and on our favorite celebrities and bloggers. The shoes come in a variety of styles, like pointy toes, round toes, ankle straps and even captoe designs, and the colors run the gamut from bone to ivory.

As ubiquitous as the trend is, blanche shoes can be difficult to pull off. White pumps can clash with certain colors and may look tacky depending on how they are styled. Most people are unsure how to wear them without creating a fashion faux paux, thus avoiding the look altogether. Click here for some tips on how to style white pumps as a neutral to create a chic look.

Take a cue from these celebrities on how to nail the white pumps look. Is this a trend you might try, Clutchettes?

    I’ve always loved white pumps.

My only thing is now all the pumps have six inch heels. I can’t wear those ankle breakers! A sistah like me with a bum knee needs a heel no higher than 3 inches.

  • Know What?

I think white pumps can look so tacky. I prefer earth-toned pumps with spring and summer clothes to create a long, lean line.

Know what else is tacky? Ms. Hudson’s discolored knees.

what? since when does white or black clash with ANYTHING? the FIRST rule of fashion, and you attempt to trash it…really? and i’ll bet you paid good money to go to some storefront school to learn that! thought they didn’t make ‘em like you anymore…

except for the discolored knees part, that was tacky of you
