'Blurred Lines' Gets The YouTube Parody Treatment

Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” video is officially trapped in YouTube parody heaven. Although Thicke’s video was met with raised brows because of its nudity and what some referred to as “rapey” lyrics, several YouTubers have taken the video and made it their own.

Yesterday, Jezebel  happened upon the gender swapping version, and called it “”fucking awesome”. “Sexy Boys Parody,” by Mod Carousel reversed the gender roles in the video to emphasis objectification. “It’s our opinion that most attempts to show female objectification in the media by swapping the genders serve more to ridicule the male body than to highlight the extent to which women get objectified and do everyone a disservice.”

Even former President Bill Clinton hopped on the “Blurred Lines” parody train. But not really.  “Bill Clinton Singing Blurred Lines,” by baracksdubs painstakingly  found snippets of various Clinton speeches and pieced together the lyrics to form a minute and a half of Clinton singing.

But what’s a parody without the elderly population? With the help of Fair Lawn Senior Center, NYC television reporter, Ben Aaron brings out the Bengay and Polident population for some lighthearted fun.

The parody doesn’t work because they made the men look feminine.
