The praise for “Scandal” is at an all-time high. Gladiators are eagerly awaiting the start of the third season of the hit show, which debuts in October. The lead actress, Kerry Washington was just nominated for an Emmy Award, becoming the first black actress to earn a nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Drama series in eighteen years. Fans of Olivia’s signature style have something to cheer about too: a clothing line inspired by the show may be in the works.

The wardrobe stylist responsible for Olivia’s winter white duds spoke with Fashionista.com about the possibility of a “Scandal” clothing line:

“We’ve been talking about how we could create something aspirational for the audience–like, something that Olivia Pope might wear–but not so aspirational that it was out of reach for most of our gladiators,” she said. “We’re just throwing around ideas with several different people, and getting a sense if we can do it and learning about the parameters. We’re trying to figure out how to do it so that it’s not too out of the price range that most people can afford, and yet somehow create something for people to have a piece of the Olivia Pope look.”

Can you imagine snagging Olivia Pope-inspired white trench coats and navy peplum blazers at an affordable price? If the “Scandal” clothing line does indeed come to fruition, I’m sure many gladiators will line up to shop it. Are you excited about the possibility of a “Scandal” clothing line?

If it doesn’t smell like Fitz or maybe even a hint of Jake I’m not interested.

  • MJ

Oh, I would be all over this collection!!

  • Ash

Umm yes! That show is partly all about the clothes. I’d support.

  • adiatc

Lame!!! I would not purchase. Using what you see on the TV or in magazines for inspiration is great. But I am so over seeing women on the street being the cheap and tacky carbon copies of every style or trend they see in the media!!

This is just another ploy to get us to be mindless consumers. They push it, we buy it!

Create your own style! Control your own image and your pocketbooks. If you want a winter white dress, then do the work and search for one that matches your body style, lifestyle and budget. If that’s too hard, stick to what you know. Just be yourself!

I’d love some white elbow length gloves.

  • AnnT

You can’t colonize this style, it’s too obvious for the masses.

Can you imagine a room full of Olivia Pope’s all dressed alike at networking events? Everyone and their Momma walking around in White trench coats and elbow lengths gloves to afraid to touch stuff???

  • jaded

I might pick up some pieces. Lots of classics in Olivia Pope’s wardrobe. But it is a little too neutral for me. :)

  • K

i surely would!!! Olivia’s pieces are classics and wonderful, I especially LIVE for her sweaters as I have a sweater fetish ..sweaters and bracelets ..im addicted so yes yes and yes i would especially buy her lounging sweaters and clothes,

  • dirtychai

  • mEE

Heck, yes! I love the dresses and suits on the show!

  • RenJennM

I still want that cream-colored coat Liv had on in that one episode (the one they had to ‘fix’ the scandal of that lady who was having an affair with her professor). If they could manufacture that for me, I’d be a very happy lady!

I love her clothes, but you can find similar items in stores already. I wish they would release a soundtrack, though, that would be great!

I would love to rock scandal inspired threads. I think the fashions run a close second to the wonderful storyline. When does it come back to tv? I need a little drama……lol

  • Herb Atkins

A scandal clothing line would be great. I love the way Olivia dresses on Scandal. Plus with ABC’s Revenge and PBS’s Downton Abbey doing their own line as well – why not. sclstyle-com has the story on it.

Definitely. That show is ridiculous in all of the best ways, but probably the most incredible part of it is how Olivia’s wardrobe, which is 85% white, rarely gets mussed. I MUST HAVE THOSE CLOTHES. I just look at an outfit and it forms wrinkles. I’m kidding, but that character does have some awesome clothes. I would definitely shop a Scandal-inspired clothing line.

I would love to see this on shelves and racks! Kohls, Sears, JCPenney-pay attention because this could be a huge surge in revenue for you! I would definitely incorporate my own style into this–maybe a navy and white polka dot blouse with the white (or gray, or navy, or beige, or tan) peacoat? Ikat print pencil skirt with that long, flowy cream bow-tie blouse (but tucked in)? You have to make it your own if you don’t want to be a clone.

  • Jenna

I love to shop the entire line. Love her style

  • Theresa

Would love to purchase her clothing . Tell me when and where.
would like to see them in affordable stores

  • Jessica

OMG yes… I found this site trying to see if someone could direct me on where to purchase clothes inspired by Oliva Pope.. If i don’t get that soon ill have to take in pics. to a local seamstress. So get moving on this!

  • Freddi Moody

I WANT to purchase Olivia’s wardrobe, especially her suits and coats.

  • http://clutchmagonline.com Kathy

Would buy Olivia Pope fashions in an instant… make sure to offer in petite, misses and full figure.. my prediction is you will not be able to keep up with the demand! They will fly off the racks.
