Tim-Hill-jpg

A week ago today, Michael Brandon Hill’s attempted acts of terrorism on a Georgia elementary school were thwarted by Antoinette Tuff, the school’s bookkeeper. Hill entered the school with 500 rounds and an AK-47 with the intent on leaving mass casualties, including himself. While on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, Tuff was able to diffuse the situation and talk Hill into dropping his weapons and turning himself in.

In all sense of the word, Tuff is a hero.

Hill’s history of mental illness and previous run-ins with the law were immediately unveiled. At an early age, Hill was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Hill’s brother, Timothy, recently appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight and discussed growing up with the alleged shooter. From being on the receiving end of threats from his brother, a house being set on fire, and seeing his brother involuntarily committed 10 times, Timothy doesn’t exactly think the system failed his family, but thinks it could have done much more.

Timothy isn’t pleased with attention President Obama has given Tuff. While sitting in the green room waiting for his segment, Timothy watched a clip of Anderson Cooper 360 and got agitated when he learned Tuff received a thank-you call from Obama. Piers Morgan decided to call him out on that and wanted to know what angered him. “I’m pretty sure she’s been thanked by 100s and 100s of people,” he said.  I honestly did not see it necessary for President Obama to call her up when he could have been focusing more on what could be done to prevent things like this.”

Maybe Timothy hasn’t heard of this little health care act that’s been talked about for the last two years? Or the fact that mental health is a huge part of the Health Care Act. In any event, maybe he should be a little more congratulatory, if it wasn’t for Tuff, his brother would be one of two things a) dead  b) facing a lot more charges than he is now.  The 5 minute phone call made by Obama was deserving, and I’m sure didn’t impede on the President’s decision making time.

I swear folks LOOK for a way to blame/hate POTUS Obama for ANY and EVERYTHING…

This is getting out of hand

The police need to watch this inbred creepy ass cracker also. These angry savages are out of control.

  • MimiLuvs

OH, THE AUDACITY OF THE PRESIDENT!
HOW DARE HE CALL UP A WOMAN WHO MANAGED TO SAVE THE LIVES OF A FEW HUNDRED! WHAT A HORRIBLE MAN!

But, for real, when people (and when I say ‘people’, I mean far-white republicans) express their displeasure of the minor actions of the President, they also reveal how irrational (and stupid) they are.

  • K

Girl we are 5 years in to his presidency sad it has BEEN out of hand…3 years left and it will continue to be so

  • http://clutchmagazine opiland

    What a stupid,arrogant,self-entitled jerk!

  • Miss. K

    I wish I could like this a 100 times.
I find it challenging, as an intellectual, and loving human being to understand a lot of their train of thought and rationality.

  • http://ladyngo.blogspot.com Lady Ngo

What the what? Bruh…that was YOUR BROTHER who planned to lay waste to an elementary school. Perhaps it is YOU who should have spent a few more minutes trying to prevent this situation. Ugh, these people are really tripping man.

  • AJW

He’s just some jealous ass cave dweller. If the situation was the other way around those hillbillies would be shopping book deals & selling T-shirts.

  • Natalie B.

Why haven’t we seen more of this lady?! There were all sorts of interviews with teachers or the Newtown Massacre; this woman prevented such an incident from happening, and they are interviewing the would-be shooter’s brother? This ish is ridiculous! “Black Twitter” and the rest of us need to contact these outlets and tell them the shine needs to be on the heroine, and not this would-be killer’s family

  • AJW

It’s not just the far right. All these whites have a problem with us being seen the way we REALLY are.

  • http://gravatar.com/geenababe geenababe

It’s annoying how people nit-pick at everything the President does. I pretty sure he wouldn’t have a problem if a past President had done it. He should be worried less about the phone call, more about his brother and his criminal situation.

  • Eyes Wide Shut

I was wondering when Clutch was going to write about this.

I saw the interview when it first aired on Piers Morgan and it was cringe worthy.

It was like the brother just couldn’t acknowledge Ms. Tuff’s heroism at all.

And he got mad at Obama for calling her and thanking her?! You wanted Obama to call you instead??????

    Scary.

  • SAA

This guy needs to shut the f*ck up flapping his gums about what the POTUS should and shouldn’t be doing. Better yet, he needs to pick up the phone and call Antoinette to thank her for potentially saving his brothers life as well as the life of hundreds of students, teachers and police officers. These white people stay mad for no damn reason.

  • L

He needs to give her a call and thank her for saving his brother’s life. He may be locked up but he’s still alive. The nerve of some people!!

  • Anthony

As much as I am inclined to feel sympathy for Timothy Hill because of his disturbed brother, the fact that he is coming off as just another redneck who is dumping on President Obama for simply doing what Presidents do makes simply want to tell him to go to hell.

  • Anthony

@SAA, thanking Ms. Tuff would take decency, something I don’t think Hill has.

  • SAA

Sorry for my generalization, I’m just getting really sick and tired of hearing this kind of crap.

  • Tina

She saved parents the nightmare of losing their young children & the families of the law enforcement officers the same ordeal. Why is that worth thanking? (Huge sarcasm snark!)

  • Afrostyling

He needs to crawl back to whatever trailer park he came from.

  • Margaret

the issues with the mental health system did NOT begin with President Obama. This young man probably can’t even remember when the cuts started in social service programs. Think back to President Reagan. I can recall him saying that those who were well off needed to volunteer more of their time – that was his answer slashing programs. He needs to do a little research

  • MimiLuvs

    @AJW

“It’s not just the far right. All these whites have a problem with us being seen the way we REALLY are.”

Sadly, I am starting to share the same sentiment.
But, in regards to the far-right, I am starting to wonder what-in the-h*ll are they doing in those Capitol Hill meetings.
Are they actually listening to the proposals?
Or are they secretly playing a session of “Candy Crush” on their cell phones? But then again, they seem like the type to play “Bejeweled”.

  • https://www.facebook.com/kelley.johnson.75436 Kelley Johnson

Antoinette Huff is hated by the right wing. I’m glad the President called her and I’m glad he’s invited her to the White House. She’s a true American hero. Something the right wing in this country has never produced. And the fact that she’s a black woman who lives and truly walks in the faith those crackers like to talk about but don’t ever live up to, pisses them off to no end.

This shooter’s brother ought to be hiding his head in shame instead of making nasty remarks about who should or shouldn’t be congratulating the woman who stopped his monstrous brother from killing a school full of kids.

  • vintage3000

They’re playing Angry Birds in between vetoing err’thang the President wants to accomplish.

  • http://gravatar.com/hotsauce85 Sticky-n-Sweet

She not only deserved a phone call from the President, but a hand-written letter from every parent and teacher in that school! Maybe even have the school named after her. She prevented another Newtown, while you were doing what, making more excuses for your brother?

  • MimiLuvs

    @Natalie B

I’ve read stories about ordinary people who have done heroic actions. A lot of them admitted that they felt uncomfortable with the “spotlight” on them. Ms. Tuff might feel the same way.

In regards to Timothy Hill’s statements…
There is this thing called ‘personal responsibility’. And if his brother wasn’t able to take care of himself, his parents should’ve gotten involved. It isn’t the state’s (government’s) responsibility to make sure that his brother was taking his meds, attending psych sessions, etc.

  • vintage3000

And ya’ll notice Jethro didn’t say anything about gun control and the fact that his brother could get his hands on an assault rifle and 500 rounds of ammo, instead he focuses his faux rage at the lack of mental health care in this country, and now that’s Obama’s fault.

This is another strategy being used by these people–deny their violent, self entitled nature and find someone to blame for it. The elections of Obama have stirred up new levels of hatred in this country with people like this goober.

  • AJW

The truth is right in our faces plain as day. Without their wealth & stolen resources they are nothing. They have no real talent & most of their so called higher intelligence is really just their ability to be sociopathic with no remorse. TheY get everything by force & violence. That’s why once people of color FINALLY lift the veil from over our eyes & see them for the succubi that they are, the shock & suprise will be gone. All white people have an issue with us. ALL. Some are in your face with it like the Right, while some wait till you turn around to stab you in the back like the Liberals.

  • copelli

Who cares if this guy got mad. Maybe he should have dedicated more time to helping his clearly disturbed brother.

Hell, he should be thanking Tuff too, for talking his brother down and getting him to turn himself in before he killed a bunch of people and himself.

    What an arse.

  • MimiLuvs

This is going to sound really weird and crazy…
But I really believe that the Lord was really working over-time on that day. Here’s why…
I have watched a few news segments about this incident. In almost all of them, they showed parents reuniting with their children, after they were released from the school building.
The first thing that I noticed was the majority of the students were black.
Now, if that man did act his original plans, I believe that this country would’ve been in some serious sh*t right now.

And when you’re done having several seats, cut your hair, get a damn job and never ever ever procreate. We see what YOUR DNA is capable of. It also wasn’t necessary for your dumbass brother to go shooting up a school. I’m trying to think of the last time someone black was shooting up a school. 2013 must be the year of the white crybaby. Man up Pu$$ies!

I thank God for this Lady, my New Shero!!!! don’t want to even imagine the comments from the non sympathetic, non empathizing no compassion having idiot trolls that share this boys paradigm on us and the POTUS…

  • AJW

You didn’t generalize anybody. You told the truth.

  • https://www.facebook.com/kelley.johnson.75436 Kelley Johnson

You better preach. And black folks who think that just because a white person voted for Obama that they’re ok better wake up. The far left on this country have been as disrespectful to this president and has attempted to undermine his authority just as much as the right has.

Y’all better wake up and quit being afraid.

  • http://gravatar.com/lengthslongjourney ash

But a phone call takes up how much time again? -___- he should go back home and care for his brother and not be doing interviews.

  • http://gravatar.com/kmnelson1976 KMN

I Know! I’m surpised that the number of assassination attempts are so few or less reported on I should say.

It’s just like folks READ a history book! TAKE a civics class! Go visit your state capital or the website and see what is REALLY going on instead of thinking yes he’s the ‘leader’ of the free world so he makes up all the rules and is the blame for the black hole that’s only 100 million or whatever years old…ugh…

Look at your state reps, congress people LOCAL lawmakers (alderpersons, mayors, etc). Stop looking the the color of the man’s skin and start looking at the character of your reps and yourselves and the content of laws that they want to pass…

    Such nonesense…

All jokes aside, the fact that he is so focused on the POTUS taking time out of his schedule to call the woman who saved his brother’s life and the lives of hundreds of children & staff indicates that this young man is probably just as mentally ill as his brother.

I hate to say it, but you know for damn sure that if Antoinette Huff and President Obama were white, he wouldn’t have said a damn thing! He’d probably praise Huff for aiding in placing his brother where he rightfully belongs. Heaven forbid that a black woman receive praise for anything other than her behind! SMH!

  • Lola289

    1000% Kudos!
Thats why we have to be LIVING PROOF that we have sense, integrity, virtue, etc. So many people want to paint a ratchet/negative picture of AAW. We need to live by example and destroy the lies.

  • Laura Charles

“It’s annoying how people nit-pick at everything the President does.”

No, it’s annoying how people nit-pick everything the president does because he is black. As a democracy, there is absolutely nothing wrong with us nit-picking, giving critiques, questioning or voicing our opinions to ANY POTUS.

The problem here is that because Obama is black, racists have come out of hiding over the past 5 years. I swear racial tension has been higher during his presidency than any other time in the past 2 decades. All the animosity white people have had for blacks has risen to the surface to stare us in the face.

  • Pepper

Who cares what this white boy has to say about President Obama calling Ms. Tuff. He should be more concerned about why his family didn’t get more help for his mentally ill brother.

  • http://gravatar.com/nolakiss16 binks

LOL then stay mad! I swear the president can’t win for losing. If he DIDN’T thank and acknowledge her actions (especially since Sandy Hook is still fresh in this country’s mind) people would be upset but when he did acknowledge and thank her he is wrong and should be doing more….which one is it? I swear this guy is like the typical white person in this country now, angry at the wrong things for NO reason. I find it funny that he thinks the president should do more to prevent things like this but negates the fact that HE and their entire family had more power in the situation to negate this guy’s act/behavior especially since they witness some of it firsthand. I am pretty sure he secretly thinks that Mrs. Tuff isn’t a hero and doesn’t deserve accolades. A phone call and congratulating and thanking someone for heroic acts/action is not far off from what a president does agenda wise genius nor does it takes that much time. People like him want the privilege but not the self-accountability or self-responsibility that comes with it. Lastly, blaming the president for the breakdown in mental health facilities and institutions is a joke, sadly these MUCH NEEDED institutions are on a downward spiral and shutting down left and right was happening way before he was in office so this guy needs not to look any further than his local politicians and governor especially if it is an republican governor.

  • Elmena

With a comment like this he either is spewing pure hate and evil or he to needs to be on somebody’s mental health watchlist.

  • Patricia

That is so true if Antoinette and President was white, he would not have said anything. It amazing to me, this woman saved lives. His brother could have done a lot than what he did. He has nothing else to do but to say something ignorant.

  • Nadell

    thank you @Natalie B.
How about interview Mrs. Tuff’s family – her parents, husband, siblings & children (if she has any). Her friends. So we can hear more of the phenomenal woman she is.
Piers Morgan wasted an interview…however w/o the interview, we would not have known the dysfunction that is w/in this family.

  • Darcy

Agreed! Why didn’t HE do something to help how deranged brother? He’s sitting there bitter almost that a woman who prevented a could be massacre is getting recognition. What is with these unimportant brothers of psychos speaking out like there are an authority on a subject these days? First, Robert Zimmerman and now him. No one cares what you think. Talk to your brother or something about why he would try to harm hundreds of innocent people.

  • ScriptTease

@AJW says, “They have no real talent & most of their so called higher intelligence is really just their ability to be sociopathic with no remorse”.

Maybe the brother would have been happier if his loony azz brother had killed some people and it would have been him giving a lame azz apology to the public for his brother’s actions.

  • MommieDearest

I knew it was only a matter of time before someone rained on Ms. Tuff’s parade and tried to knock her down a peg or two like they did Charles Ramsey. I’m shocked no one dug up her first grade teacher to report that she used to speak out of turn in class without raising her hand first.

This clown is the perfect example of white male privileged entitlement. He needs to get over himself.

  • http://twitter.com/theessenceof_ essence gant

Bottom line, people are still upset that Obama is POTUS and he’s black. This is the silliest thing I think I’ve heard in a minute. He may have some issues of his own. He does realize that this woman not only saved hundreds of innocent babies but also his own brother, right? These people and their hate for Obama is so deep that it blinds them on the bigger issues at hands. Smh. Whatever, dude. You’re a little off.

  • Marie

At this point, the bat sh!t crazy brother sounds saner than him.

” I’m shocked no one dug up her first grade teacher to report that she used to speak out of turn in class without raising her hand first.”

  • nayale

well that is not surprising that his brother would say that. after the incident, it came out that michael’s family had abandoned him and a local church, run by a black pastor and his wife, took care of him and helped out as best they could. as a matter of fact, the pastor’s wife was in the news after the incident in tears saying that michael was not a monster, he was just sick and not on his meds while his OWN FLESH AND BLOOD brothe, was saying to media that it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen blah blah blah. i think michael really connected with ms. tuff because she looked like the people who had showed him compassion.

  • http://lilbennie.tumblr.com lilbennie

i think he can do both…

  • Lou

You mean like being upset that Obama is MURDERING innocent civilians in foreign countries with Drones? Or going to war without Congressional approval? Or that he bows before je wish world leaders?
Or the fact that he and his family have spent more TAXPAYER money on VACATIONS?

He is supporting AL QAEDA – you do know that right? The “rebels” in Libya and Syria are ALL connected to the very people were supposed to be fighting against.
That means that Obama is a TRAITOR, he is working with the ENEMY.
Impeachment doesn’t even suffice what should happen to him. And yes, Bush, Cheney, etc, etc, etc (and especially their “administration officials) should all be tried and hanged – that includes all of the je ws that have been helping take down this country. Let’s start with the ILLEGAL PRIVATE FEDERAL RESERVE owners and board members.

  • Lou

They are? Here all it is on the news about Blacks that go out for fun to kill Whites,
Maybe a look in the mirror would do you some good.

  • Zanita

My question to the brother is, where have you been? He has been trying to do something. How can you get anything done when Congress rejects everything you do.

  • Sandy248

Is this why he planned to shoot up a school with lots of black children too? Why in the hell do loons always wind up with weapons like this?

  • http://dailylifeandliving.blogspot.com Amor

I can think of 1 word to describe this guy’s reaction…Ungrateful.

He looks unstable himself. Perhaps mental illness runs in that family. He needs to be glad Ms.Tuft did what she did. Did he thank her?
