About Last Night

Black Love is in full swing this weekend with the release of About Last Night, a contemporary take on the 1986 film, starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, and Regina Hall.

Check out the synopsis via Sony Pictures:

“A modern reimagining of the classic romantic comedy, this contemporary version closely follows new love for two couples as they journey from the bar to the bedroom and are eventually put to the test in the real world.”

From the moment the film begins audiences realize they’re in for a ride. Full of jump cuts that quickly catch them up on the backstory, hilarious one-liners, and surprisingly raunchy (and comical) sex scenes, the film is a fast-moving ride that had me laughing out loud.

While Kevin Hart is predictably funny, Regina Hall holds her own, and even bests him with her comedic timing and ability to deliver some of the film’s most hilarious moments. Add to that the heartfelt moments between Joy Bryant and Michael Ealy and About Last Night is not only fun to watch, but will have you believing in love—even when it’s not quite perfect.

I seen this movie over the weekend & what a treat. I loved this movie. I also seen the original starring Rob Lowe & Demi Moore which I like too. But the “reimagining” version of About Last Night is so much funnier. You a movie is good when while you’re watching it; you realize it will be apart of your movie collection. Great effort.
