After weeks of speculation on whether Aaron McGruder was involved with the fourth season of The Boondocks, speculation has now been put to rest. According to a press release from Adult Swim “this season was produced without the involvement of Aaron McGruder, when a mutually agreeable production schedule could not be determined.”
McGruder, who is already busy working on his new show Black Jesus, confirmed he was not involved with the show.
The Boondocks was started on the University of Maryland College Park campus by McGruder and his former partner in comic strip hilarity, Rhome “DJ Stylus” Anderson. But after a rift came between the two, they went their separate ways.
The fourth season of The Boondocks is set to air on April 21 and will be the shows final season.
