The congregation at  Miracle Faith World Outreach Church in Connecticut got more than they bargained for after confronting their pastor during his admission of infidelity at the end of  their Sunday service.

Bishop Bobby Davis asked his parishioners to stay after service so he could confess his infidelity issues.

“After the service on Sunday the bishop’s family asked us to remain in the church and the bishop confessed to us something that happened long ago,” said Judy Stovall, an elder at the church. “He wanted to come clean with all of us. He wanted to ask our forgiveness.”

But during his apology, members of the congregation got loud, although some say in support of him, causing him to drop dead.

“We were shouting, `We forgive you, we love you,’ but the stress of all of it — he had a heart attack,” Stovall said. “I held his head as he lay on the floor,” she said, her voice cracking with emotion. “Our congregation is hurting now.”

Davis founded the church with his wife, Christine. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last June.

reminiscence of a juicy sexual liaison
May prove too intense for a weakened heart.

Anonin…..loll….not just a Tyler Perry movie….i was looking to see the ethnicity of the pastor because it sooooo sounded like a scene out of a nigerian (Nollywood) movie

Somehow this reminds me of the book “The Scarlet Letter”. Exposure is the worst thing that can happen to some people, never mind the chaos they have spread along the way.

I pray his wife did not ask him to confess to the congregation because she will be dealing with this for the rest of her life as well. Sin just doesn’t hurt the sinner…..there are many causualties along the way.

Right! I was honestly waiting for this guy’s name to be Pastor Tunde or Pastor Chukwuemeka. This has nollywood home movie written all over it.
