swirl

Last month we told you about “Swirl”, the first interracial dating reality tv show. Well the first episode premiered yesterday on YouTube

In Webisode 1 of “Swirlr” we meet Kurt from Central California, who is studying and part-time modelling. Then we meet Quintana, an Atlanta, Georgia transplant and aspiring DJ. Both come to Christelyn Karazin, of BeyondblackandwWhite.com, and Jordan Harbinger, a professional matchmaker, for help in finding someone special.

Take a look at the video:

Clutchettes, what did you think of the first episode?

You posted the wrong video…this video was a music video rip-off of Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. I saw the trailer on Youtube-didn’t look too interesting. The daters weren’t open to dating other races, so it was more of a social experiment than anything. No thanks.

    Corny pile of self-hating mess.

  • Thanks Yesha, and Clutch, for reporting on the show!

The hostess of this show sounds racist (calling the client vanilla)(assuming she knows how his parents will react to his black girlfriend). She is not match making, she is purposefully mixing races for no other basis than to make a statement (an ignorant one). Clearly the clients are interested in interracial dating because they signed up for the show, this is fine. But more emphasis should be placed on the couple’s chemistry not just their race.

Hmmmm….Not sure you’re watching the same show as everyone else, though I suppose each viewer takes away something different…in future episodes he will meet SEVERAL possibilities,NOT just ONE…so you have to STAY TUNED to see how the chemistry unfolds…but since you seem to have already prejudged both the host and the show…I’m guessing we shouldn’t expect you to do that. Ahhh well…yet another glaring example of “Thought Police” trying to blunt progress with with regressive tripe…too bad….you sound like the poster child for the motto for the HSBCU’s motto…”A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE”. Too bad…you show real potential.
