052014 300 Sandwiches

It seems Stephanie Smith – the New York Post writer who was on a mission to make 300 sandwiches for her boyfriend – didn’t need 300 meat-cheese-bread combinations after all. At 256 sandwiches, he put a ring on it.

Eric Shulte proposed to Smith while on their Barbados vacation alongside blue water, a pool, a heart made out of flower petals, (and a photographer?).

Smith says Shulte is “full of surprises.” She writes on her blog:

The day after I arrived in Barbados, E had a big shocker for me: he asked me to marry him.

I was working on sandwich #257. I guess neither one of us could wait until #300.

I said yes, by the way.

Words cannot express how extraordinarily happy I am. Not because I have a engagement ring, but because I’m going to spend the rest of my life having ridiculously amazing adventures with my soul mate.

My mouth hurts from smiling.

E, I love you more than anything. I’m so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you.

By the way, the deciding sandwich was the “Kite Surf Fuel” arepas with cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs, tomato, and onion.

I aint mad at her. She got a book deal and a ring out of this kerfuffle.

  • The New Randomness

This isn’t about sandwiches or love. This is all about a book deal, movie, reality show, and whatever else their agents got for them. Y’all keep forgetting that.

  • Sandra Zevor

Good for her. She got her man and a business outta this. All this BS of him looking gay, makes the accuser sound pathetic.

Not really he looks soft as wet tissue. Sorry
