It seems as though the world over is on a steady path towards achieving their fitness goals. Nowadays, it appears as though everywhere you turn on social media someone is posting a video or photo of their workout regimen or post-workout bod. Kudos to those who are committed to maintaining a healthier lifestyle! And while some people may be comfortable with going it alone at their local gym, some would rather ditch the gym altogether and prefer to opt for making the road to getting fit an affable and enjoyable journey (all while in good company, of course!). I’ve thought up some ideas on the ways in which we could all rally up some friends for the purpose of establishing alternatives to hitting up the gym—all of which require very minimal planning.

I would like to add a suggestion. Join an active meetup group on meetup dot com. I belong to running, salsa, yoga and boot camp meetups. Good way to find people to workout with.

I would love to take a Socaize class! Local parks and rec centers always have fitness events in the summer. I participated in a fun session of Nia dance the other day.
