Queen Latifah confirmed on Facebook that her daytime talk show will be not be returning for another season. Production on her show is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.  You will still be able to access new episodes on stations affiliated with CBS through March 2015.

The multi-talented artist who is scheduled to host The 2014 Noble Peace Prize concert in December, posted a farewell tribute on her Facebook page:

“Just a little note to say Thank You. Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running. Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed ‘True Grit!’ Your Family, Partners, Staff and Crew showed up with you every step of the way. Be proud of that! Not everyone can say the same”,

The message went on to praise all the people who stood by her through the process, including her guests and the audience members who showed up for the show.

She ended on a positive and encouraging note, – “P.S. This letter is for me, my staff, my crew, and everyone who was by my side for this incredible journey. The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances. No matter what the outcome…believe in yourself and continue to fly”.

It was a short run, but The Queen Latifah Show enjoyed a vibrant slew of celebrity visitors. It made its debut in September 2013 and the goal was to tackle inspirational stories as well as Hollywood fare. She managed to succeed in her quest and will undoubtedly find another avenue to unleash her talents.

i watched a couple episodes. it was kinda dry. hopefully her next project will turn out a little better.

Her show didn’t ring as authentic as some of the other shows do. Ellen, Steve and Wendy all come through as their true selves, warts and all, on their shows. It’s like Latifah was trying too hard to be neutral with everyone. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion. Even if that opinion gets you into trouble sometimes.

    Better luck next time

I can’t believe they let her try it again after the fiasco that was the Dana Owens show.
