Atlanta Police are searching for a man accused of shooting and robbing a woman he met through a dating website called Badoo.com.

The police have identified the man as Dontarius Turner aka “Cash,” 22, of Memphis Tennessee.

CBS46 reported that the 34-year-old woman was shot in her face after Turner robbed her on their way back from a Waffle House on Dec. 24.

Authorities¬†say the two were headed back to a hotel when Turner pulled a gun and told her to pull over and give him all of her belongings. Even though she followed Turner’s instructions, he shot her in the face and then tried to shoot her a second time as she fled on foot. Turner was able to escape in the woman’s black 1999 Jeep Cherokee with a Rhode Island license plate.

“She is very lucky,” Maj. Ernest Strozier said. “When you meet somebody on social media, you don’t know who you are meeting. You see a picture of a person but you are not for sure if that is the person or not. So, you need to meet them in a public place while people are around.”

The victim’s name is not being released to the public. But, investigators did disclose she is at home recovering with a swollen face. The bullet went through her cheek and out behind her ear. The bullet missed her carotid artery by inches.

Dontarius Turner is wanted for aggravated assault, armed robbery and weapons charges. Atlanta police is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to Turner’s arrest and indictment.

I stopped talking to a dude I met out running errands because he wouldn’t tell me his last name. I can’t date anyone before I’ve done my due diligence on them. When I dated online, I sent a photo of their licenses to a friend…as insurance. He would have had to kill me long before we arrived at the Waffle House.
