Screen Shot 2015-04-09 at 9.58.45 AMMissouri Republicans hate the poor, similar to Kansas’ hatred of the poor. But they’re trying to take it one step further. And hit welfare recipients where it hurts, their stomachs.

A new bill in Missouri could ban food stamp purchases of “cookies, chips, energy drinks, soft drinks, seafood or steak.”

So what’s exactly the issue with steak? Would they rather people eat frozen steaks? As opposed to fresh steak? Will they also ban ground beef? Because technically that’s steak as well. Seafood? You’re meaning to tell me, only non-welfare recipients should have access to healthy salmon and other fish?

What in the world is wrong with these people?

What did poor people ever do to them? Besides keeping them employed?

And then you have the people of the ilk, “If I can’t afford it, they shouldn’t be able to either.”

What’s your life looking like, if you’re not on welfare and can’t afford a piece of steak? Even if it is the cheap parts? Don’t blame the poor people for your inabilities to maintain.

If this ludicrous bill is passed, it would go into effect July 1.

Missouri Republicans, I’ll say a prayer and hope you’re never a welfare recipient.

  • Do they know that some of those people are probably constituents that voted for them in the first place (There is more white people on welfare)? I guess not. Besides, the sponsors of these bills seem to have less than an eight grade education themselves. If a person wanted to buy the very things they are trying to ban, they could simply buy certain “permitted” items and then barter them for hard money to get what they want. But then they will probably arrest people for doing that instead of doing their jobs as government employees.

So why the hell should black Americans vote Republican? They really are the Rethuglicans

That’s an excellent point Sister. The Republicans have shown their hand. As a black person, I will not vote for a Republican gladly.

So all black Americans are on food stamps?

Ludacris bill??? Is Clutch s***ting me right now?

I support this bill all the way! You’re not going to buy junk food with my money. Not only is it not nutritious, but I don’t want to pay for your behind when you catch diabetes and/or a stroke and/or heart disease and/or colorectal cancer (I can go on).

And the nerve to accuse me of having an ‘inability to maintain’?? WTF?? I know how to spend my money WISELY on my education, home mortgage and healthy foods. I know how to live at my means and if these ABLE BODIED people have such high taste in steak, shrimp, crabs legs and lobsters, they can on some type of grind or live within THEIR means.

This bill should have been passed a LONG time ago.

It’s a shame that the lazy and the scammers make it difficult for those who TRULY need this assistance.

The sad reality is if you can’t feed yourself, clothe yourself, or house yourself you really don’t have much say in how those things are done.
