The Clark Atlanta University student who went missing on Monday resurfaced in Illinois. DeKalb County police spokesman Capt. S.R. Fore said on Thursday afternoon that Alexis Jones-Rhodes had been located in Illinois and was safe. Fore also said no criminal activity was involved.
Jones’ family reported her missing on Monday after they arrived at the Clark Atlanta graduation and noticed she wasn’t in attendance. But according to the university, she was never scheduled to graduate.
“Both her mother and father would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support, especially the Police and the media for their swift response,” the emailed statement said. “We are happy she is safe.”
No further information was provided about her being in Illinois.
