A website in India has decided that the best way to combat assault and rape against women is to highlight the fact that not all men assault or rape women. Mintified’s #blameonenotall is literally using women to hand out Scooby Snacks to men for a job well done when it comes to not raping or assaulting them.

Take a look at a few of the photos from their campaign below:

“We do agree that a woman has to go through a lot. The leering, the catcalls, the groping, the societal othering, the miasma of all this that women bear the brunt of every damn day. Every single day is a war to them,” Mintified stated on Facebook.

“But generalizing the other gender is not right. Not all men are rapists. Not all men abuse their significant others. Not all men actively oppress women. And these posters say it all,” they wrote.

The site’s “not all men” campaign didn’t go over to well on social media.

And that tweet last tweet pretty much sums up the absurd campaign.

The first tweet summarized my feelings. I don’t this campaign helped at all.

I guess the country needs a PR campaign. I’ve heard gruesome stories about women travelling in India.

The problem of sexual assault in India is a serious problem. You can Google articles showing how many Indian politicians have said offensive statements about rape. We know that honorable people exist among both genders. That’s obvious. The point is that the rape and the abuse of women in the world are serious problems and it won’t be solved by signs. It will be solved by progressive action and the end of misogyny once and for all. We want justice and human rights to exist in perpetuity.
