A website in India has decided that the best way to combat assault and rape against women is to highlight the fact that not all men assault or rape women. Mintified’s #blameonenotall is literally using women to hand out Scooby Snacks to men for a job well done when it comes to not raping or assaulting them.
Take a look at a few of the photos from their campaign below:
“We do agree that a woman has to go through a lot. The leering, the catcalls, the groping, the societal othering, the miasma of all this that women bear the brunt of every damn day. Every single day is a war to them,” Mintified stated on Facebook.
“But generalizing the other gender is not right. Not all men are rapists. Not all men abuse their significant others. Not all men actively oppress women. And these posters say it all,” they wrote.
The site’s “not all men” campaign didn’t go over to well on social media.
"I know women are being harmed and killed by men every day, but let's talk about me & how nice I am first." #BlameOneNotAll

A better use of #BlameOneNotAll would have been the "good guys" holding up signs about respecting women instead of women stroking egos, smh

So we have to praise men for not being sexist scumbags? Give me a break. Most people know not to generalise anyway. #BlameOneNotAll

Thank you to all the men in my life who have been incredibly nice to me by not abusing me – how can I ever repay you?! #BlameOneNotAll

And that tweet last tweet pretty much sums up the absurd campaign.
