Bill Cosby admitted to drugging women while under oath during a sexual abuse lawsuit in 2005. The lawsuit involved a Temple University employee who stated that Cosby drugged and raped her.
In a sworn deposition, Cosby answered questions from Constand’s attorney, Dolores Troiani.
“When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?” Troiani asked.
“Yes,” Cosby replied.
Cosby’s attorney objected and told him not to answer the question.
While Cosby admitted that he acquired seven prescriptions of Quaaludes with the intent to give the sedatives to young women he wanted to have sex with, he has not admitted to actually drugging any of his accusers.
As the news came to light, many of Cosby’s long time supporters had a change of heart.
Singer Jill Scott tweeted earlier this year, “I’m respecting a man who has done more for the image of Brown people that almost anyone EVER. From Fat Albert to the Huxtables.”
But as of yesterday, “About Bill Cosby. Sadly his own testimony offers PROOF of terrible deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations,” Scott tweeted.
Of course there are still those people out there who believe Cosby is still being ‘set-up’, or that it’s all part of a bigger conspiracy. One has to wonder how many women will it take for them to realize your pudding pop peddling Coogi wearing Cosby is a rapist?
