502955078 Looks like Bill Cosby is taking a page from Suge Knight’s playbook. According to the comedian’s lawyer, Monique Pressley, Cosby is a “blind man.” “He’s a 78-year-old blind man who they’ve chosen to charge,”Pressley said  during an appearance on CBS This Morning. “That’s not a defense to a charge; that’s just a fact.”

Pressley has been a fierce advocate for her client, calling the decision to charge Cosby with second degree indecent assault “a game of political football.”

During the interview, Pressley acknowledged Cosby’s health has nothing to do with his defense strategy and indicated her 78-year-old client will not be looking make any deals.

“My client is not guilty, and there will be no consideration on our part of any sort of arrangement,” she said.

Many seniors, especially minorities, are legally blind. Legally. They continue on with life. My mom is legally blind. Her hustle continues in spite of her children’s warnings to slow down.

That is how I found this bit of info online. When it happened to our family of course. Our parents are terrified of losing their independence.

So, I saw the pics. He looks like a lot of seniors, our neighbors who walk to the store, take the bus. He was fine last week.

so what causes it?? esp. in minorities? diabetes?

    • Prof. Genie

High blood pressure, diabetes, and age related diseases of the eye. Most people in gen pop don’t know that after 40 or so we should be seeing eye docs and not the eye glasses person for checkups.

In other words see an opthamologist and not just an optician for your annual. But how many of us get those annual exams even? Age related eye diseases run in families. You could have it and not even know it.

i go yearly for my vision checkup/glasses and they do a 3-d scan of the eyeball so i hope that’s good enough. Thnx for the info.

You are welcome. We had no idea until it was our family. The actual eye doctor told us most American people just don’t know. Shrug.

I looked it up and thought about all of the old people who don’t drive, have to read really large print, fall often, etc. What?!!!

      Have a great one!

wow so sad, and of course “we” will be greatly affected by said eye disease (go figure). U have a good one too and best of luck to you & your parents!

      Thanks! You too!

Right. Disability is a terrible thing to have to struggle with but disability is not a defense to a crime (as his lawyer admitted) &if it’s true that he assaulted these women (which seems very likely to me tbh, surely at least one of those 50 women is telling the truth), then many of them will have to deal with PTSD & other debilitating mental health challenges/ disabilities for the rest of their lives due to what he (allegedly) did to them. In conclusion, his lawyer should probably focus on winning the case in court & not on trying to win in the court of public opinion.

PTSD is real for sexual assault survivors.

The Wash post ran an article just yesterday speaking on this, that they are playing the feeble fragile old man card. He was an actor for many years after all.
