We’re only eight days into Black History month and I think we can all agree it’s been pretty damn DOPE.

Earlier, Black women across the diaspora shared exactly why being a Black woman and girl is LIT, and today the whole thing was sealed when legendary director/choreographer Debbie ALlen shared a video of little Black girls getting a lesson in African dance IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

Honey!!!!! Things are heating up at the @WhiteHouse!!! #DanceAtTheWhiteHouse #BlackHiatoryMonth

I mean….I can’t even deal.

As if the sight of little Black girls of various hues and hairstyles donning ballet gear, ehem IN THE WHITE HOUSE, wasn’t enough, Ms. Debbie kicked up a notch by putting on for the ancestors and teaching the young ladies some traditional West African dance steps while a group of drummers did their thing….IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

Chile, we are DANCING at The @WhiteHouse this morning!!!!!!😘

If that weren’t enough, famed choreographers Virginia Johnson, Fatima Robinson, and Judith Jamison were also on hand to lead a masterclass for the young dancers.

Such an honor to be part of today's #DanceAtTheWhiteHouse Panel with First Lady @michelleobama! #BlackHistoryMonth

We absolutely love it, and from the smile on First Lady Michelle Obama’s face, she loved it too!
