We don’t quite know how to feel about this, but David Alan Grier announced he’s been tapped to be Kentucky Fried Chicken’s first Black Colonel Sanders.

*insert Black people and chicken jokes here*
While the fast food giant has yet to make an official announcement, picking Grier to be the new face of the Colonel would be a bold move.
After ditching Col. Sanders, KFC revived the iconic figure, relying on comics like Norm MacDonald and Darrell Hammond. Adding Grier to the mix would not only be historic, but also hysterical.
There’s been no word on when Grier’s first commercial will drop, but we can’t wait to see it.
