Milwaukee police are working to track down 24-year-old Shanika Minor for her alleged role in the deaths of Tamecca Perry and her unborn child. Minor is now charged with the crime — but she is not yet in custody.
Police say Minor went to Perry’s home to settle an argument late Saturday. According to the complaint, the two had fought over some loud music a week prior and Minor “thought that the victim was disrespecting her,” the suspect’s mother told cops.
Minor went to Perry’s house at 3 a.m. with a gun, according to the criminal complaint.
Linda Minor, the suspect’s mother, attempted to break up the fight between the two women “trying to keep them separated” before Minor raised the gun and pointed it at her pregnant neighbor.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by her godmother to pay for funeral costs.
Police are still searching for Minor, who could face up to life in prison if convicted.
