It’s hard for Rihanna to look bad; her style choices are fearless, her skin is flawless, and her spirit is free. But the Anti singer looks downright amazing on the latest cover of British Vogue.
While Rih Rih is super selective about who she grants interviews to, the Bajan beauty spoke with the fashion mag about her new shoe collaboration with Manolo Blahnik.
With the Manolo Blahnik partnership, Rihanna is making a play to reach all of her fans, regardless of income level. Her popular Puma collection recently debuted at New York Fashion Week, now she’s attempting to break into the couture market with the high-end shoemaker.
When it comes to her shoes, Rihanna told British Vogue she can’t wait to see someone actually rocking them in real life.
“The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes… I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!”
Rihanna called her sexy new shoe collection “dangerous,” but she credits her mother with inspiring her style.
“Oh my goodness, my mother – she is a woman’s woman,” she said. “I was obsessed with everything she did then, everything she wore, her scent, her shoes and her scarves… That was the glamour I wanted to be part of.”
