Another day, another offensive and ignorant Azealia Banks rant. When former One Directioner Zayn Malik debuted his new music video for “Like I Would” yesterday, a bored Azealia Banks took to social media to voice concerns over the similarities to one of her own videos.

But when Malik didn’t respond to her mentions, she only grew more frustrated and started issuing a string of now deleted tweets calling him a “paki,” a “sand nigga” and a “curry scented bitch.” When the last comment started reaching the masses, South Asian Twitter made it clear that they had had enough.

Canadian YouTube star and Comedian JusReign began responding to each comment and soon afterwards, others also chimed in. Some used the hashtag #curryscentedbitch to recount memories of being teased as children for bringing home cooked South Asian food to school and some South Asian women posted selfies with the hashtag as a physical demonstration of support for Malik.

Azealia has since issued a half apology but not before taking out her anger on 14-year-old Skai Jackson.

“I said what I said to Zayn because I was angry. He felt as if he was too good to acknowledge me and yet not to copy my creativity. I had to remind him that we were both in the same boat in this industry by reminding him that no matter what you think of yourself, the world still sees you as ‘other,’ she posted in a series of iMessage screenshots. As for her back and forth with Skai Jackson, Banks said she assumed her mother was tweeting for her and that is why she continued the conversation.

What are your thoughts on this latest Azealia mess?
