Ghostbusters star and Rio Olympics super fan Leslie Jones created the hashtag #LOVE4GABBYUSA to show support for US Olympic Gymnast Gabby Douglas. Douglas has been under social media attack for quite some time now after not placing her hand over her chest during the Star Spangled Banner during a medal ceremony, not cheering emphatically enough for other gymnasts and for failing to maintain laid edges during her intense gymnastics routines.
Jones, who was recently attacked via Twitter, caught wind of the social media war on Gabby (and possibly her response to all of the criticism) and created the hashtag so others could join in to uplift and supoort the Team USA star.
It wasn’t long before the hashtag began trending and Gabby’s mentions began lighting up with positivity.
