Korryn Gaines, 23-year-old Baltimore woman, is now dead after a police standoff at her apartment. Gaines’ 5-year-old son was also shot during the standoff.
The standoff began at around 9:20 a.m. on Monday when three police officers in Randallstown attempted to serve arrest warrants for a man inside the home and another for Gaines that was related to traffic violations from March.
Friends of #KorrynGaines say videos documenting harassment by police were among the social media posts that were deleted from her phone.

When nobody answered the door, police accessed the apartment with a key from the landlord.
Inside, officers found Gaines sitting on the floor pointing a firearm and saw a man fleeing with a 1-year-old child.
“If you don’t leave, I’m going to kill you,” she allegedly told police.
An officer then opened fire and shot Gaines, who fired back. She was hit several times and pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were wounded.
It’s not known if the officers were wearing body cameras during the shooting, police said.
Before the shooting Gaines took a video of her son:
