President Obama and the First Lady hosted their final State Dinner Tuesday night at the White House. The First Family hosted Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife, Agnese Landin. But all of the talk was about Michelle Obama’s stunning dress.
Michelle Obama donned a stunning rose gold off-the-shoulder Atelier Versace gown, that literally sparkled with every move and flash of camera light. Celebrity guests included Giorgio Armani, Mario Andretti, Rachael Ray, Jerry Seinfeld, Chance the Rapper, Frank Ocean and John Turturro.
During his opening remarks, President Obama spoke about how his last dinner will be bittersweet.
“Buona sera [Good evening]. Welcome to the White House and the final state dinner of my presidency,” he said. “But in the immortal words of a great Italian-American, Yogi Berra, ‘it ain’t over till it’s over.’”
Yes, that’s right. We still have them for a few more months. Then it’ll be over. And we’ll all cry.
