Everyone is feeling the heightened racial tension since Donald Trump won the election. The amount of hate crimes against people of color have increased of the last two weeks, and people are literally fearful of what may come.
But in “Momma don’t play that” news, Shaunie O’Neal spoke about enabling her kids to combat racism and possible attacks. In an interview with TMZ, O’Neal kept it real when talking about what’s going on in the world and parenting.
“I didn’t raise no punks,” O’Neal said, when she spoke about how people are now comfortable showing their true racist colors.
Shaunie’s son, Shareef O’Neal, is heading to college to play basketball and TMZ brought up the fact that he could end up in a school in the south, where racial incidents are even more prevalent. But O’Neal isn’t worried, because she’s just a plane ride away.
