Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has officially started and we couldn’t be more excited! As we get ready to view collections from some of our favorite designers we wanted to take the time to introduce you to two designers who’s highly anticipated line, Cushnie et Ochs just made it’s debut. Meet recent Parson grads – Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs. Both Proenza Schouler and the Vena Cava team went to Parsons, and both graduated with success after their senior collections won the school’s Designer of the Year prize. Now, Carly and Michelle (who also won the award) are following in their footsteps. With the success of other Parson’s graduates, this talented duo is definitely one to watch.

Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs on the inspiration for their Spring 2009 Collection:

“We were inspired by American Psycho and Christian Bale’s compulsive, meticulous, ordered discipline.”

The line is very streamlined and is a beautiful silouhette on the body. However, the designers themselves as well as the models are very thin so they do have to keep in mind of any potential clients outside of size 2 that may want to invest in this collection.
