Oscar winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson celebrated her Michigan Avenue Magazine cover issue for the glossy’s second year anniversary in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, on Tuesday.

While at the festivities, Hudson took the stage to perform “I Will Always Love You,” a classic penned by Country music star Dolly Parton and made one of the best selling singles ever by R&B diva Whitney Houston.

Giving the tune her own spin, Hudson delivered a stirring performance, nearly comparable to Houston. We felt chills here at the office, and it’s not the air conditioner!

The 29-year-old starlet has been quite the busy chick. Earlier this year Hudson became the spokeswoman for Weight Watchers and lost a whopping 56 pounds.

Sure not to leave her Oscar fever behind, the actress recently wrapped production on “Winnie,” a biopic starring Hudson as activist Winnie Mandela. The film promises to portray Mandela in the same light as her more revered former husband, played by Terrance Howard.

Looks like things couldn’t be more blissful for the “American Idol” alum.

Although JHud can sing she is not the best in the inudstry or today, Alicia Keys and Beyonce. Check them out before you talk. Dont forget Leona Lewis!!!

I agree with you on Ms. Keys and Leona Lewis, but Beyonce?!? Her songs may be catchy, but she is an alto that always insists on singing soprano and equates yelling with hitting a high note. She tried to sample Des’ree’s kissing you (which was made for an alto), went high with it, and completely ruined it.
