Stanley Kirk Burrell is mad. The 48-year-old throwback emcee and dancing machine delivered on his threat by releasing a diss song and video called “Better Run Run” this morning. After Jay-Z took shots at Hammer in his verse on Kanye West’s “So Apalled,” Hammer took to Twitter proclaiming his Jay-Z beef.

Jigga said, “Hammer went broke so you know I’m all focused/ I lost 30 mill so I spent another 30/ Cause unlike Hammer/ 30 million can’t hurt me.” An offended “King Hammer” tweeted about Jay-Z, invoking the good ole devil worshiping rumor. “I don’t really have to go in on the fella, but that dude romance the devil, naw naw I don’t rock your wear, your shoes, I don’t need a dark pair.”

This is Hammer’s first single since his 2008 track, “Getting Back to Hetton.” The song was from a “DancetheJam” album, and never placed on the Billboard charts. Now the “2 Legit To Quit” rapper brings a hot topic effort, throwing jabs at one of America’s most iconic and wealthiest entertainers. All we have to say is Hammer don’t hurt em’! Even though the beef has one participant.

I wonder if he puts this much effort into his sermons.

  • It won’t work. Hammer will not be able to resurrect his career with a beef with Jay Z.

You need to start smaller Hammer. Try Soulja Boy

Y.. how old is he now?

  • Hammer, have a seat. Is this real? He can’t be serious.
